Leo (Constellation)

 Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to be telling you what I know about Leo. I don't know much and I don't know my constellation. So I going to researching for some juicy information about the Leo constellation. Someone said I have a constellation on cancer but I still don't know yet.

First I'm going to tell you the story of Leo. In Greek mythology, Leo was identified as the Nemean Lion which was killed by Heracles during the first of his twelve labours. The Nemean Lion would take women as hostages to its lair in a cave. Luring warriors from nearby towns to save the damsel in distress, to their misfortune.

As the story define Leo, Leo is a lion. If you look at the constellation stars you could see a lion. But you can't see the whole body. But you could see the head of the lion, and the body. Leo is a symbol of bravery as the lion is the king of the jungle and really brave.

Here is the image of Leo.

Morse Code

 Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to tell you about our experiment with my group. In my group, I have 3 people and we have to pick a way to communicate with each other across the field. But it was cold so we were allowed inside. Me Regan and Travis have to pick between using flags as communication. Or morse code. But we only had paper so we had to come up with a plan.

We discussed which one is the dot and which one is the dash. And the reset. But I didn't explain about the reset it was supposed to be after when I finished saying a dot or a dash. Later it failed because if I have explained it properly to them we would have gotten it but nope. It's all about explaining properly. Maybe we could have done it.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment and don't forget to add some feedback. Your feedback would help me a lot when it comes to your idea. Sometimes your ideas can be better than what I put on my blog.

Failed Hydrogen Pop

 Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to show you how to make a hydrogen pop. But for now, I failed to attempt number 1. But I can try again and not spill the acid on the floor. The acid only damages the skin and its not the strong. But if you leave the acid in your skin for too long it will break. The acid is called hydrochloric acid. But I can link another video doing the same experiment.

Here is my failed attempt on camera

Here is the way you should do it

Thank you for reading and watching my blog post. Please leave a comment and maybe I might be able to show you on camera. But for now, I failed because it was my first time doing it without any help. Because I wasn't able to do it on Tuesday last week because of sports.

Becoming a Martian

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today we are going to take a risky turn and tell some survival tips on how to become a Martian on Mars. Mars is a very dangerous place to stay in so people might not want to live there. One wrong mistake with your shelter could get you killed because you cannot breathe on Mars. Also, the food and shelter are one of the biggest problems that awaits you on Mars.

Here are some survival tips that might help you a lot when you get to Mars in the future. When Mars will become one of the most loved places in the world. Only if it's not as deadly I might come there but come back after months there.

  1. What do some people want to visit and explore now in the 21st Century?
Because some people don’t want to wait very long to go to Mars then only stay for a
few months and come back about after new year pass on Earth. And it’s kinda unsafe
to rush to get to Mars first because there may be a failed design somewhere in the
space ship so they need to take their time.
  1.    How long would it take to get from Earth to Mars?
It would take about 21 months. It would take 9 months to get there and 3 months of
stay and 9 months going back to Earth.
  1.   Why can missions to Mars only leave and return every 26 months?
Because it is closer to get to Earth and if they went early it would take a very long
time to make it back to Earth. Only with the technology we have today.
  1.   What does the expression, ‘Boots on Mars’ mean?
Its a metaphor for humans finally stepping foot in the first-ever planet they went
to. Not including the moon.
  1. What year might we see ‘Boots on Mars?’
People might arrive to Mars before 2025 because most people believe that NASA
and Space X will make it as soon as 2024.
  1.  Find the GLOSSARY (P30) and copy the meanings for each of the following:

toxic salts: chemicals containing metals and acids that are poisonous to people.
iron oxide: a compound that contains iron and is similar to rust.
kPa: A unit of measurement for pressure
desalination plant: A place where water containing salt (usually seawater) is turned into
freshwater.
Martian rovers: Robotic vehicles that travel across the surface of Mars.
solar particles:
Pressurised: particles that come from the sun and contain radiation.
Orbits: The curved “flight paths” that objects follow in space around the star or planet

  1. Complete the following information table with numbered key facts under the
  2. appropriate headings:

Challenge
Possible Solutions
Oxygen Challenge
The atmosphere is %95 carbon dioxide
and it could be deadly breathing on
Mars.
We could use electricity to split the
carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide
and oxygen so we can breathe on Mars.
Water Challenge
It doesn’t rain on Mars and there is no
rivers and a lake on Mars.
Try to filter the dirty ice on Mars
then use it as an advantage for water.
Food Challenge
The settlers will have to bring their
food but it would be a waste of a space
ship to bring food in the rocket.
Try to make food on Mars and grow
some things. Some people tried to use
human poop as fertilizer and it might
just work on Mars. All you need is to
make water just meltwater on Mars and
use the water to water your plants.
They may need to be filtered because
they are toxic.
Shelter Challenge
The atmosphere on Mars is a hundred
times thinner than Earth so it will be
poisonous to breathe on Mars.
The shelter challenge is one of the
most import to keep you alive. This one
will be hard but it might just be easy to
make. First, you will need locked doors
that cover the whole ground not letting
anything in. Then you will need something
like a tent or like a house but it must be
built to not leak any air out or let any
air in. It also needs to be sand storm
proof and tornado proof. Because they
might appear one day when you’re on
Mars. I also figure out that its called
dust storm, not the sand storm.
Next after when you enter there must
be a thing to purify the air before you
come in then you take off your space
suit like in the Martian movie. Next, you
open the door and close it then you are
safe from the outside.

Surround this image with 10 facts about Mars (find these under the heading ‘Meet
Mars’)
1 Mars founded by one of the Greeks called it the Ares because it was red like the
greek god of war Ares. The roman called the red planet Mars as the name we all
know today about the red planet.
2 Mars may look red and lots of people assume that it was very hot like me but never
judge a book by its cover. Because it was actually cold I was shocked when I heard
that Mars was cold the whole time. And Venus is the planet that looked cold and also
other planets. But Venus was actually hot. That was a fact I didn’t even know about
for years.
3 Mars and Earth have approximately the same amount of landmass just a little
different from one another.
Mars has the tallest mountain in the solar system but not taller than outside of our
solar system.
4 Mars have a dust storm and it’s not very rare but it occurs often in Mars that’s
why it’s difficult to live in Mars.
5 Some things on Mars has fallen to Earth and some of the humans who got some of
the pieces didn’t notice have valuable they are.
6 Only 18 Mars mission successfully worked to send in the Mars rover to investigate
Mars and the gravity and how Mars work. The rest failed was lost for some reason.
Luckily they only sent in 40 not more because it was have been a great failed.
7 Mars is one of the smallest planets (not including Plato) after Mercury.
8 Fun fact Mars is a bit longer than Earth and it’s about 25 hours every day on Mars
but it’s about 24 hours and 37 minutes and 22 seconds a bit longer on Mars so a year
on Mars is approximately 600 days every year.
9 Another fun fact about Mars is that it takes approximately 20 minutes on Mars
to send a message back to Earth. And approximately 20 minutes to send a message
to Mars.
10 In the past a very very long time ago scientists found out that Mars was
habitable
and humans could have lived there. They found it out because of ice and frozen
rivers
around Mars. They think that there was a lot of water and maybe land and grass on
Mars waiting for u but now it’s known as the red hot planet.

Gravity On Mars

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today we are going to talk a little about gravity. Most of the answers are not from me because one of my teachers already filled it in. I only added a few in there but I hope the facts helps you about gravity and gravity Mars

Here is my work

Gravity

Read, then answer:
What Is Gravity?
Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its centre. The force of gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun.
What keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun?
Gravity forces a planet and draws it toward its centre. The force of gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun.

What else does gravity do?
Why do you land on the ground when you jump up instead of floating off into space? Why do things fall down when you throw them or drop them? The answer is gravity: an invisible force that pulls objects toward each other. Earth's gravity is what keeps you on the ground and what makes things fall.
 Define gravity in one sentence

An animation of gravity at work. Albert Einstein described gravity as a curve in space that wraps around an object—such as a star or a planet. If another object is nearby, it is pulled into the curve. Image credit: NASA
Anything that has mass also has gravity. Objects with more mass have more gravity. Gravity also gets weaker with distance. So, the closer objects are to each other, the stronger their gravitational pull is.
What makes gravity weaker?
Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. All its mass makes a combined gravitational pull on all the mass in your body. That's what gives you weight. And if you were on a planet with less mass than Earth, you would weigh less than you do here.
What does Earth’s gravity come from?
Look at the image below and write how much you’d weigh on the following planets if you weighed 100lbs on Earth.
Jupiter 253 lbs           Mars 38 lbs      Pluto ____ lbs
Saturn 107 lbs              Neptune 114 lbs
How much would you weigh on the moon?  17 lbs

You exert the same gravitational force on Earth than it does on you. But because Earth is so much more massive than you, your force doesn’t really have an effect on our planet.
7. Why doesn’t your force really have much effect on Earth?

Gravity in our universe
Gravity is what holds the planets in orbit around the sun and what keeps the moon in orbit around Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon pulls the seas towards it, causing the ocean tides. Gravity creates stars and planets by pulling together the material from which they are made.
8. What causes ocean tides?
9.  How does gravity create stars and planets?
Gravity not only pulls on mass but also on the light. Albert Einstein discovered this principle. If you shine a flashlight upwards, the light will grow imperceptibly redder as gravity pulls it. You can't see the change with your eyes, but scientists can measure it.
Black holes pack so much mass into such a small volume that their gravity is strong enough to keep anything, even light, from escaping.
10. Why is gravity in black holes so strong that it keeps anything (even light) from escaping?
What is a black hole?

A black hole is a region of space and time where gravity is so strong that nothing. Literally nothing not even particles or even electromagnetic radiation or light can escape. The theory of general relativity predicts that compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole.
Watch this video to find out more about these areas of immense gravity!

Gravity on Earth
Gravity is very important to us. We could not live on Earth without it. The sun's gravity keeps Earth in orbit around it, keeping us at a comfortable distance to enjoy the sun's light and warmth. It holds down our atmosphere and the air we need to breathe. Gravity is what holds our world together.
11. What is the role of the sun’s gravity?
The sun's gravity keeps Earth in orbit around it. Keeping us at a comfortable distance to enjoy the sun's light and warmth.
12.   Can humans live without gravity?
Yes and no. You need to exercise everyday to keep your body weight or you won’t feel so good without gravity
However, gravity isn’t the same everywhere on Earth. Gravity is slightly stronger over places with more mass underground than over places with less mass. NASA uses two spacecraft to measure these variations in Earth’s gravity. These spacecraft are part of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission.
13. Describe where Gravity in Earth is slightly stronger.

The GRACE mission helps scientists to create maps of gravity variations on Earth. Areas in blue have slightly weaker gravity and areas in red have slightly stronger gravity. Image credit: NASA/University of Texas Center for Space Research
GRACE detects tiny changes in gravity over time. These changes have revealed important details about our planet. For example, GRACE monitors changes in sea level and can detect changes in Earth’s crust brought on by earthquakes.
14. List 2 things that the GRACE mission can do for Earth.
i) detect tiny changes in gravity over time.
ii) GRACE monitors changes in sea level and can detect changes in Earth’s crust brought on by earthquakes.

 15.  Gravity on Mars

List 5 or more facts about GRAVITY ON MARS in the space below. You can copy and paste and add images. Save in your Hurumanu 3 File.
Since Mars has less mass than Earth, the surface gravity on Mars is less than the surface gravity on Earth. The surface gravity on Mars is only about 38% of the surface gravity on Earth.

How To Perverse

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to show you my DLO on how to preserve food. Some of my text I might have spelt preserve wrong or right but comment if I write one wrong. Sometimes if got to preserve food just in case you don't have a lot to made it out alive like some people had to do since the lock-down.

Here is my DLO

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment as well as feedback in some of those comments. I would love to reply to any of you if I have time. I hope you learnt something and hope it teaches you a life survival tip if that ever happens to you when you need to preserve some foods.

Mars DLO

Welcome Viewers back to my blog,

Today I'm going to share with you a DLO I've made. The animation was hard to make on animaker because it keeps telling instruction on how to use it and I couldn't shorten the length of the video so sorry about that. And if you are at school use animaker if you want.

Here is my DLO
I fixed it and I got the video use the link if you want.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment and please leave some feedback. Don't forget to wash your hands it helps a lot in this time. And also I added the link because I video I couldn't download so I had to sorry if the link doesn't work for some of you. That is all I got to say bye and please leave a comment if the link doesn't work for you.
