Welcome everybody back to Earth Science Part 2,
Today we are talking about weathering. I have some pictures and 2 videos to show you of the mini land that my group "The Jiraffes" made for topic.
Weathering is caused by many different things like rain, snow, ice, thunderstorms/lightning, etc, etc. They can break the rocks from the mountain and all of the sediment will fall into the rivers. After years they will turn inside sedimentary rock.
We made a mini land. We made it landscape so it's easier to made land. We made a volcano, mountain, a river for the water to full up, a small lake and nature. We got four rocks, two plants and six pieces of bark.
We needed a ruler, a cup, a pencil or scissors and tape. First we needed to put a hole inside the cup so the water can flow. I tried making a hole with the pencil but I failed. After that Kayden got the scissors and cut a circle hole. After that we had to put the ruler in the middle and put the cup on top of the ruler. Then we had to stick it down with the tape. I did a good tape placement while the others did the rest.
After that two people recorded what happened to our land. Miss D was explaining what will happen to our land in the future.
I noticed that The Jiraffe's mini land is breaking overtime. I think it's because the water eats the sand overtime. Or just people moving the book to make it lose. Or maybe the sand had too much water
