SLJ/Summer Learning Journey - Day 1 of Activity 3

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to do the last activity of day 1. First I'll explain what do I have to do first. First we have to pick a Charities. In the site there is a list that you can pick but you can add your own. Here the list.

SPCA

But the Charities I would want to donate is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It's because the children's who get sick there don't have to pay the bills for their treatment. I really want to help them out but I can't pay online. I hope some of you can donte to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment and if you can donte. Donte to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

SLJ/Summer Learning Journey - Day 1 of Activity 2

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to do Activity 2 It's going to be about our cultural background. So we have to explain where our parent come from. I will also tell you some thing that my family like a lot and what other people in my cultural like. But I'm going to tell you more detail because telling about my cultural background is not enough information. So lets get into it.

My mum was born in the Philippines in her home town. Now she likes to work planting plants and she is a really nice person. She also have lots of lily and plant at our home if you would have come there. My dad was also born in the Philippines and is a really good father. He a nice and he would buy us nearly anything we want but we have to wait for a while/1 or more years. He today likes to dance while some songs are playing, he likes to sing, and he always sing if there is one.

And for my sister she was born in the Philippines I think she was born in Samar or somewhere else. She likes to do gymnastic stuff, likes to sing/a really good voice to singing, likes to run, etc. And for me I was born in the Philippines in a city called Cebu. I really love living there because last time when I came I got to meet some of my old friend on next to my auntie's house. I likes to do lots of stuff I'm really good at playing the drums, I can run fast but I'm mostly tired, I like to listen to music, play video games, etc.

Here are some pictures from the Philippines

SLJ/Summer Learning Journey - Day 1 of Activity 1

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today the task is we have to imagine that we are going on a canoe trip for 3 week on a Hokule’a or Hikianalia. We have to pack out own food to last us. Our master navigator Nainoa Thompson is going to take us to Aotearoa in New Zealand.

The food I will bring has to not rot so I can last and not be hungry. And to make this more challenging I didn't ate anything before I came and I was very hungry.  And this is set in 2019 not going to be back in the ancient times because the I can't think of 10 foods in the ancient times.

The first food I will bring and eat is Spanish bread so later on it won't rot. And I can eat it when we set sail. And  by the way I made it at home before coming to the canoe.

Click on this link to see how to make Spanish bread.

The second thing I will bring is dried fruit. Its because its cheap to make and you just need to buy fruit and dried it. Another reason why I picked this is because it is good for you and it won't rot. But the drying process takes longer and more painful to do.

Click on this link to see how to make Dried Fruit.

The third thing I will bring is canned sauage from the philippines. But you can also get it here in New Zealand. The store is called Big T they sell asian food. This sausage is already cooked and you just need to microwave it. But you can eat it without microwaving it.

Here is the link to where to buy it.

The forth thing I will bring is rice. Rice is very yummy when its paired with some food. Rice takes up to 4 to 6 day to expire so I can eat it today/the forth day. Well I will tell you tomorrow what I packed its very yummy.

Click here to see how to make rice.

The fifth thing I will bring is Ground Meat. The reason why I want to bring ground meat is because they can last up to 1 week before getting expire. And I tasted it and it's very yummy when it comes to eating it with rice.

Click here to see how to make ground meat/beef/mince.

The sixths thing I would like to bring is noodles because it can last for a very long time. It's say that it can last for 2 or 1 years. But we need to cook it first but there is a fire on the boat and a metal thing that can help me cook it.

You can buy it in PAKnSave.

The sevenths thing that I will get is Potatoes

If you store potatoes at about 40 ºF and in the dark they can last up to four months. And they are going to be yummy when you eat them. And I can store them in the dark 40 ºF because I can put it on a metal pot. And they are not that expansive.

The eighths thing I will bring is chocolate. It's yummy and it can help you last for a little bit longer. But it can melt if the weather is very hot but it can last for about 2 years. But it doesn't give as much hunger back to you.

The ninths thing I would bring is canned beans. It's because it can last up to 5 years. And it would be nice having it for the journey because it will last a long time so I can have lot's of it and it wouldn't expire until 5 or less years.

The last thing that I will buy is dough and water so I can make flat bread without it expiring. And there is fire there so I can make it. In the video they used some modern stuff but we can make it without using those stuff like what he said you can use the rock.

Here how you make flat bread.

SLJ/Summer Learning Journey Teaser Week Day 1

Welcome Viewers to my blog,

Today I'm going to do the teaser week day 1 in SLJ/Summer Learning Journey. The task is to make a profile page about one of the famous singer, Lorde. We have to find at least 5 facts about her but instead of the 5 facts I changed it into a bonus fact.

To do this we need to use a website like piktochart or you can use piktochart but I used info  Infographics/venngage. Here is the website link. The reason why I didn't used piktochart is because I have more expcieses using Infographics/venngage website. Next you find a templete if you are using venngage. Next just find some facts then add them but change them around to make them your own fact.

Here is my profile page about Lorde.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment and I will see you when week one of SLJ/Summer Learning Journey task.

Slippery Day

Shichō-sha o watashinoburogu ni yōkoso - Welcome Viewers to my blog

It's been a while since I posted a blog post. Today I'm going to tell you some of my experiences in EOTC week. But first you need to know what is EOTC week. EOTC means Education Outside The Classroom. Its a week where you have to pay to go to but it's really fun.

Anyways today I'm going to tell you some moment while I was on the slippery ice. One moment when I entered I realise that I forgot how to ice stake so I asked some people to help but failed. But only one person helped me to remember how to ice stake and it was a really good ice staking. And after that it was the end of the day. Another moment was when I went to the middle Khiel speed up and held on to me and I stand still then a few seconds I fell. One bad moment was when I fell and I think nearly twisted.

Here is some pictures at ice staking.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment and have a great day. But before you go I want to tell you one thing. Have you been ice staking before?
