Today I'm going to be spotting some things hidden in the pictures. Most of them already have answers but, I will be determined to share it. Some of the secrets things I spotted was from looking at it not deeply like spending hours because I'm in school.
The first photo is easy to find some secret. It was probably taken after when the Maori already signed the treaty, and New Zealand obtained over by the British as you can tell because they are wearing pakeha's clothes. So it was probably taken in the late 18's after when the Maori signed the treaty and started the land wars. In the background you can see that the trees were brunt and the mountain doesn't looked burn so it wasn't a wildfire happening.
They brunt it because in the past people would burn some trees to make more farmland because farming was the most reliable way to make money in the past but, now we can get jobs to get money to get food or they could use the crops from the farm and save money eating them instead.
The last photo we are looking at today is Guns in the Kitchen. Well in the past guns were allowed in the kitchen for some reason because of self-defence. But if people have ammo and grab the gun, you are most likely to die. There is also knifes in the kitchen. So it was taken somewhere in the early or late 19's.
Some obvious things are missing in the kitchen which is a family photo, no cushions on one of the chair but it wasn't a family house only three men were living in there so it was like a man cave. Only men's living inside the house.
There is a small chance that the knife might have been used, in the New Zealand wars but, we will never know until we manage to time travel back exactly when it was used. For now, we don't know what the knives have been though so we can only make theories about it.
I think outside of the frame after when the photo was taken, it was just the photographer alone. He was probably taking photo's and the other two men's were doing something important or was working or doing something fun like playing some sports.
Here are the photos I looked at
Thank you for reading my blog post please leave a comment and don't forget to add some feedback. And I'm close to finishing my 200 blog post drawing I might animate it a little bit but, I might not do it depends. And have you ever spotted some things in a picture let me know in the comments?
I like the original way you entice us into reading your Blog posts Aaron. This was a creative way to introduce your comments on the 2 photos studied and you provided very interesting detail. A couple of things to note are the spelling of burnt and use of apostrophes (you don't need them in the word Photos in the title or in mens in the 2nd to last paragraph.. men will suffice). Maybe extend your thinking regarding the use of the guns... hunting for food? ....shooting pests? Overall, another very good Blog... well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mrs A,
DeleteI usually don't say your full name on my blog because I don't know how to spell it, so I stick to Mrs A. Anyways yeah I didn't extend my thinking much because I didn't have many creative ideas when I was thinking to write it, but it was an astonishing idea. I just thought they would have gone outside and did some work or played some sports outside because they usually brought food from a store and hunting was hard to find some animals.
Sincerely Aaron
