Growing Crystals

Welcome viewer's back to my blog,

Room 6 has been learning about rocks, weathering and crystals. We learnt that crystals need space, water and time. Miss D got some hot water mixed with borax. We needed to get a cup and make a holder. You can see it in the picture. It is connected to the pencil so it won't fall. We have to be careful when we move the cup because the pencil might fall down.

My one was stuck before I took the photo with me holding it. It is called a pipe cleaner. I got some help to unstuck it but the next day it will be stuck again. Little ice crystals (they are actually borax) are now growing into my cup. The borax crystal takes 2-3 days to grow. I think It will fully grow in 7-10 days. But a crystal without borax takes 243 Hours or 24. 24 days is not accurate so I think that is not enough days. I think it will take like 44 days or in calculator 10.125 days. I think it's approximately 1 months to 2 months.
